Dotmasters is an internationally acclaimed street artist and multimedia innovator whose career spans more than three decades. Known for his sharp wit and subversive edge, his work offers a sideways glance at popular culture—delivered with a distinctly British sense of humor.Behind the moniker stands Leon Seesix, one of the early pioneers of the 1990s street art movement. Originally based in Brighton, Seesix began blending stencil graffiti, performance, and digital art long before such hybrids were commonplace. His works appeared everywhere—from streets and nightclubs to online spaces and gallery installations—bridging the gap between underground culture and the institutional art world. In the era when graffiti was morphing into street art, Seesix’s Dotmasters project emerged as a response to this shifting landscape. It was founded on the principle of creating art in unmediated public spaces, engaging audiences directly rather than through traditional channels.A restless experimenter, Dotmasters continues to push boundaries across media—working with spray paint, stencils, stickers, LED light installations, and even augmented reality. His practice moves fluidly between grassroots activism and high-end collaborations, from urban interventions to luxury interiors. Through recurring themes of consumerism, media, politics, and identity, he challenges viewers to confront their own perceptions while reflecting the contradictions of contemporary life—at once critical and celebratory.Dotmasters has exhibited internationally, with shows in London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, and Dubai. He has also played a key role in shaping major street art festivals, including Norway’s Nuart Festival, Banksy’s Cans Festival, and Glastonbury Festival. As a founding member of the C6 collective—a group of artists, activists, and pranksters merging art with technology—he has created immersive installations and collaborated with leading contemporaries such as Ben Eine and Nick Walker.
